Skoteräventyret/The snowmobile adventure

Sigge hämtade skotern i Nora. Efter en vådlig färd över is, stock och sten och många omkullåkningar i lössnön lyckades han ta sig ända fram till Kolbacken. Där körde han fast i branten. Med hjälp av Kristin kunde han till sist gräva fram skotern och köra den ända fram till huset.

Sigge fetched the snowmobile in Nora. After a hazardous ride over ice, up hill and down dale, and after having fallen over many times in the loose snow, he managed to get all the way to Kolbacken. There he got stuck on the steep slope. With help from Kristin he finally could dig up the snowmobile and drive it all the way up to the house.

Runt Albysjön/Around Lake Alby

Vi hajkade runt Albysjön idag i alldeles strålande väder. Det tog knappt 2,5 timmar, inklusive kaffepaus uppe på en hög klippa med utsikt över sjön. Efter det – dags att gå hem och göra födelsedagstårta.

We hiked around Lake Alby today in absolutely tremendous weather. It took almost 2.5 hours, including coffee stop up on a high cliff with a view over the lake. After that – time to go home to make a birthday cake.

Dagens övning/Today’s exercise

Idag var det molnigt men 22,8 grader C (!). De nytvättade lakanen torkade snabbt. I skogen sprängde en hord med glada hästar och ryttare fram. De hade jätteroligt och det såg verkligen härligt ut!

Today it was cloudy but 22.8 centigrades (!). The newly washed sheets dried quickly. In the forest a horde of of happy horses and riders charged. They were having great fun and it really looked grand!

Skogliga fenomen 2/Foresty phenomenons 2

Vi stannade till för att inta vår medhavda matsäck, på ett härligt ställe med vid utsikt. Trist bara att någon inte tyckte att naturen själv är skön nog utan måste bättra på det hela. Sigge var bekymrad. Ylva gillade utsikten.

We made a stop to have the packed lunch we had brought, at a gorgeous place with a wide view. Too bad somebody didn’t think that nature itself is wonderful enough, but had to make things better. Sigge was troubled. Ylva enjoyed the view.

Skogliga fenomen 1/Foresty phenomenons 1

Vi gick ut i skogen idag med kameran i högsta hugg för att förhoppningsvis kunna ta bilder av några skogliga fenomen. Här är det vi stötte på därute i skogen, ett förälskat par som skulle gifta sig i kyrkan ungefär 1,5 timme senare. Oerhört vackert.

We went out in the forest today with our camera ready to strike, wishing to be able to take pictures of some forestry phenomenons. This is what we encountered out there in the forest, a couple in love, going to get married in the church about 1.5 hour later. Tremendously beautiful.
