Arbetet går vidare. En elhyvel lånades från Urban. Nu ska sitsen bli jämn och slät även om arbetsställningen kanske inte är optimal.
I en tidning såg vi en trevlig pall som skulle passa i lägenhetens hall. Gjord av timmer, riktigt rustik look. Perfekt – utom priset för den: 7.995 kr. Men det borde inte vara ett problem för dem som har allt råmaterial liggande runt omkring på bakgården. Och verktygen att klara av det. Sigge testar den potentiella benkonstruktionen. Vi hoppas på en fortsättning på detta.
In a magazine we saw a nice stool that would go well in the apartment’s hallway. Made out of limber, very rustic looking. Perfect – except for the price of it: SEK 7.995 (USD 1,230). But that shouldn’t be a problem for those who have all the raw material lying around in the backyard. And the tools to make it. Sigge tests the potential leg construction. We hope for a continuation of this.
I helgen fick utemöblerna en efterlängtad målning. Inte bara olja utan skyddande färg. Nu ser de nästan ut som teak. Se skillnaden mellan den omålade närmast till vänster och de andra.
The past weekend the outdoor got a longed for painting. Not only oil but protective paint. Now they almost look like teak wood. See the difference between the unpainted one closest to the left and the others.
Snart är Tyresösagan all. Men fortfarande går det att använda lokalerna till olika projekt. T ex målning av köksbord till lägenheten. Detta uppochnedvända gulliga lilla bord (eller dess ägare) hade aldrig tänkt att det kunde bli svart. Kommer att passa perfekt i köket.
Soon the Tyresö tale is over. But it’s still possible to use the premises for different projects. For example painting a kitchen table for the apartment. This up-side-down sweet little table (or its owner) never would have thought of it turning black. Will fit in perfectly in the kitchen.
Allt är inte på plats riktigt i lägenheten i Stockholm. Det finns en säng någonstans, dock. Och sakta men säkert kommer stället att bli beboeligt. Kanske.
Everything is not exactly in place i the apartment in Stockholm. There is a bed somewhere, though. And slowly but surely the place will be fit to live in. Maybe.
I sista lasset hade vi med oss några tavlor som säkert mår bättre av att sitta på en vägg än att stå i ett förråd. Alltså åkte de upp på väggarna och gjorde stugans vardagsrum till något helt annat. Kan någon skjuta måsen, tack?
In the last load we brought some paintings that surely feel better to be on a wall than to stand in a store-room. Thus, up on the walls they went, and turned the cottage sitting room into something completely different. Somebody, will you shoot that gull, please?
Vi fick besök från Norrland över förra helgen, Roger och Maggan lämnade Bjärtrå för en tripp ned till Stockholm. Vilka gäster! Maggan lagade maten åt oss och Roger tapetserade hela vår lägenhet. Man önskar att alla ens kompisar hade sådana kompisar!
We had a visit from Norrland over last weekend, Roger and Maggan left Bjärtrå for a trip down to Stockholm. What guests! Maggan cooked our food for us and Roger put up wall paper in the whole apartment. You wish all your friends had such friends!
Sigge har lagt nytt golv i det lilla sovrummet (inkl garderob) i lägenheten denna vecka. Jättefint! Men han kunde konstatera att det inte finns en enda rät vinkel i rummet. Konstigt.
Sigge has put in a new foor in the little bedroom (incl wardrobe) in the apartment this week. So nice! But he could establish the fact that there is not one right angle in the room. Strange.
Ska man verkligen tro att folk blir mer benägna att köpa ett hus bara för att man har blommor på bordet? I alla fall vågar vi inte ta risken att låta bli. Så det blev några tulpaner som passar bra till kuddarna i kökssoffan.
Should one really believe that people get more inclined to buying a house just because you put flowers on the table? Anyway, we don’t dare to take the risk not to. So we got some tulips that go well with the cushions in the kitchen sofa.
Nu när folk ska komma och titta på huset så kommer vi förstås på alla de där grejorna som borde ha fixats för länge sedan. Till exempel måste vi laga alla fula hål i köksväggarna. Och då måste man måla på lite – men hur få rätt färg? Genom att stjäla en bit färg nere vid golvet bakom ett skåp och ta med den till färgaffären för färgblandning.
Now that people are coming to see the house of course we start thinking of all those things that should have been fixed a long time ago. For example we have to mend all the ugly holes in the kitchen walls. And then we have to paint over a little – but how to get the right color? By stealing a small piece of paint down by the floor behind a cupboard and bring it to the paint shop for color mixing.
