Nu kommer vi till målet för det vandringstips som ledde oss till Mäjasjöns fäbodar: Äskjaberget. Det var en kort och enkel promenad från fäbodarna till stugan på toppen. Dit kom också vandrare på Högakusten-leden, men de hade gått en mycket brantare och längre stig. Vi tittade lite på utsikten som vanligt – det var inget fel på den här heller! – och sedan gick vi ner igen.

Now we come to the goal of the hiking tip that led us to Lake Mäjasjön’s hill farm: Mt Äskjaberget. It was a short and easy walk from the hill farm to the cottage at the top. There also hikers walking the High Coast trail came, but they had walked a much steeper and longer trail. We looked at the view as usual – there was nothing wrong with this either! – and then we went down again.

Spång uppför — På ett enda ställe var det så brant att det behövdes lite hjälp. *In one singel place it was so steep that a little help was needed.*

Stugan — Målet: stugan. Stenröset sägs vara från bronsåldern. *The goal: the cottage. The stone cairn is said to be from the Bronze Age.*

Vi tog tag i ytterligare ett vandringstips. Det förde oss till Mäjasjöns fäbodar (som dock inte var målet för vandringen). Fantastiskt fint och välordnat. Fäbodarna var hämtade från olika ställen och samlade vid en fin liten badsjö. Mycket idylliskt och uppenbarligen en plats som gärna besöks av vandrare som går Höga Kusten-leden.

We took on another hiking tip. It brought us to Lake Mäjasjön’s hill farm (which, however, was not the target of the hike). Amazingly nice and orderly. The little cottages were fetched from different places and gathered at a nice little bathing lake. Very idyllic and obviously a place that is gladly visited by hikers walking the High Coast Trail.
